About the Author

Malcolm J. Walker is an historian and educator. Since 1969, he has served Shepherd as President of the Shepherd Community Action Council. Malcolm Graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1964 and from Tennessee State University in 1968. He has held numerous appointments in Chattanooga and Hamilton County school systems as well as in Tennessee's Department of Education.
